About the Role
United Colleges Group (UCG) is seeking a Curriculum Manager for A-Levels in Business and Science to join our dedicated team. Established in 2017, UCG supports over 16,000 learners annually with a committed staff of around 1,000 professionals focused on student success. This role will contribute to the operational management, development, and performance of teaching, learning, and assessment across the College's A-Level provision.
The Curriculum Manager will implement the College Group’s quality improvement strategies aligned with the current OFSTED framework and foster a culture of continuous improvement through self-assessment and other quality initiatives. You will develop strategies to enhance Teaching, Learning, and Assessment to ensure an outstanding student experience. Additionally, you will lead and manage the performance of direct reports to achieve consistently high outcomes.
This position supports the Assistant Principals and plays a key role in driving transformational change to meet the evolving needs of our students and the wider community.
Experience
- Proven operational leadership and management experience in a Further Education setting
- Experience supporting staff development in vocational areas and learning and teaching
- Experience in recruitment, induction, and guidance of students
- Experience contributing to effective curriculum planning, design, and development
- Experience leading and managing staff and budget management
- Experience leading or coordinating quality enhancements in curriculum delivery
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
