About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise / Domain Architect to provide dedicated architecture leadership across multiple strategic transformation programmes. As a key member of programme teams, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define target architectures, support technology selection, guide implementation approaches, and ensure alignment with wider enterprise strategy. This role balances strategic direction with hands-on architecture delivery and will initially support programme delivery through key architecture phases including discovery, design, procurement, selection, and implementation.

You will lead architecture for customer data transformation initiatives encompassing customer data foundations, customer view capabilities, CRM integration, and customer data platforms. Your responsibilities will include owning the architecture direction, defining current and target state customer architectures, designing approaches for data consolidation and improved customer insight, supporting customer data model development, and establishing architecture governance across the programme and wider customer domain.

Key deliverables include current-state and target-state architectures, customer data architecture blueprints, solution designs for programme phases, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and contributions to the customer data model and roadmap.

Experience
- Enterprise Architecture or Domain Architecture experience.
- Strong understanding of retail business capabilities and technology landscapes.
- Experience designing and implementing Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Single Customer View capabilities, Master Data Management (MDM), and customer-centric data architectures.
- Experience with CRM ecosystems and customer technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of customer profiles, customer data models, CRM capabilities, marketing technology, and data governance.
- Experience working with data engineering and governance teams.
- Experience supporting procurement and technology selection processes including RFI, RFP, technical assessments, and vendor evaluations.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to challenge vendors and drive informed decisions.
- Comfortable working at both strategic and detailed technical levels.
