The Prime Video Finance Analytics team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer. Embedded within finance alongside content and business finance partners, the team owns the single-source-of-truth metrics layer serving both finance and business leadership. Working across AWS technologies, you will deliver self-service analytics, infrastructure-as-code, and reliable ETL/ELT workflows. You will collaborate closely with global business partners and technical teams on unique business problems, using creative problem solving to deliver data products that underpin Prime Video strategic decision making, from content selection to on-platform customer experience.

Key responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources, utilizing data from disparate systems to build meaningful datasets for analytics and reporting, implementing big-data technologies such as Redshift, EMR, Spark, SNS, SQS, and Kinesis, developing and maintaining the data platform including infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK, working closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions, analyzing business processes and data models, writing high-performing SQL queries, and collaborating with software engineers to support product data needs.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience building and operating highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large datasets
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Knowledge of distributed systems related to data storage and computing
- Professional software engineering experience and best practices including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong SQL skills

Qualifications
- Preferred experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Proven ability to deliver end-to-end projects independently
