About the Role

The Prime Video Finance BI team is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and warehouse solutions that support critical business reporting used by leadership globally. You will collaborate with upstream technical teams to architect complex data ingestion frameworks and work closely with Finance and Business stakeholders to translate ambiguous challenges into automated data solutions.

Your work will directly enable the KPIs, metrics, and analytics that drive Prime Video's content and customer experience strategy forward. This role requires a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and is passionate about building robust, automated data systems that power strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data warehouse architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines; applying AWS cloud services such as Redshift, Glue, EMR, S3, Lambda, and Step Functions; developing automated data quality frameworks; building infrastructure as code; gathering and translating technical and business requirements; driving automation and optimization; and partnering with Business Intelligence and analytics teams to improve data sources and reporting accuracy.

Experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR
- Proven experience building and operating highly available, distributed data extraction, ingestion, and processing systems
- Strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Knowledge of distributed systems related to data storage and computing
- Familiarity with professional software engineering best practices including coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operational excellence
- Previous experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficient in SQL

Qualifications
- Preferred experience with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
