About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a DC (Defined Contribution) Consultant to join our growing specialist DC division. The role covers the wide spectrum of advice required by a DC scheme and requires strong relationship and governance experience, as well as investment and technical pension scheme investment knowledge.

As a Consultant you will be:
- Building and maintaining client relationships, ensuring their needs are identified and met, and driving forward the client relationship where appropriate
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market practice, legislation, and DC governance requirements
- Identifying suitable investment strategies tailored to clients’ specific membership
- Selecting appropriate investment structures considering individual client circumstances and preferences
- Conducting investment manager selection and DC provider exercises, supporting clients in decision-making
- Supporting clients with ongoing governance through regular meetings and collaboration with stakeholders, focusing on improving member outcomes
- Contributing to projects including master trust/GPP reviews, selection exercises, buy-out and wind-up of pension arrangements, and AVC reviews
- Engaging in DC research on master trust/GPP providers, keeping up to date with evolving propositions and supporting research outputs that feed into client advice
- Drafting advice to a professional standard ready for sign-off
- Working within a team environment, providing leadership and guidance to less experienced team members

Experience
- Demonstrable experience working within the UK DC pension scheme advisory sector in a consultancy environment
- Strong relationship management and governance experience
- Good technical knowledge of pension scheme investments and investment strategies
