About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at AWS. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. As a Delivery Consultant, you will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer’s needs, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. You will lead implementation processes, ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout projects. AWS Professional Services is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, delivering focused guidance through global specialty practices covering a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Experience
- Proven experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
- Experience with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis
- Consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), including system, network, and operating system knowledge
- Experience managing complex, large-scale customer-facing projects
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience building large-scale machine learning and AI solutions at Internet scale

Qualifications
- Preferred: PhD in Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience working with or evaluating AI systems
- Experience with data applications using large-scale distributed systems such as EMR, Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Pig, and Hive is advantageous
