About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant (DevOps) to join our team. In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with clients to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be instrumental in driving customer success throughout their cloud journey by providing expert technical guidance and best practices across the project lifecycle.
As a Delivery Consultant, you will architect complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. You will gather requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide customers on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative cloud solutions.
Your responsibilities include leading implementation efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks. You will collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to AWS technology roadmaps.
This role requires UK Government Security Clearance and UK nationality. You will spend most of your time on-site with customers, delivering professional services and supporting cloud adoption initiatives within the UK National Security sector.
Experience
- Proven experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
- Experience in software development using object-oriented languages
- Experience in consulting, designing, and implementing serverless distributed solutions
- Experience operating within enterprise security programs and developing security models in the AWS cloud
- Experience with identity and access management, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, data protection, and incident response
- Experience leading design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or hands-on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and operating systems
