About the Role
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success throughout their cloud journey by providing technical expertise and best practices across the project lifecycle.

As a Delivery Consultant, you will possess a deep understanding of AWS products and services and be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer's needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS.

As a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. You will lead the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We work alongside customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, delivering focused guidance through global specialty practices covering various solutions, technologies, and industries.

You will join a diverse team of technical experts across multiple countries, helping customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

Experience
- Implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments
- Migration strategy development and planning using the 6R framework
- Cloud Infrastructure Assessment (CIA) methodology
- Mainframe migration and modernization techniques
- Application discovery and dependency mapping
- Migration tooling including Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service, and Migration Hub
- Cutover planning and execution
- Legacy system analysis and decommissioning
- Risk mitigation and rollback strategies
- AWS Transform

About you
- Experienced technology professional with strong technical expertise in cloud computing technologies
- Skilled in designing, developing, and deploying business software at scale or recent hands-on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization
- Experience with configuration management tools such as CloudFormation, Chef, and Puppet
- Proven track record in large scale migrations including data center to data center or data center to cloud infrastructure
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring team members
- UK national able to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance
