About the Role
Smiths News is seeking Self-Employed Drivers to join our expanding distribution network in the Croydon area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading brand in the wholesale industry, offering both security and flexibility. Your key responsibilities will include packing newspapers for your route at the warehouse, completing a fixed daily delivery route, delivering newspapers and magazines to 20–30 customers per day, collecting returned newspapers, magazines, and clean recycling bags, and scanning newspapers and returned items upon return to the depot. The van used must have a carrying capacity between 1050kg to 1200kg depending on the route. We provide a full 3-day onboarding process and offer a choice of routes with 7-day contracts. This role is on a self-employed basis with weekly pay and opportunities to expand your business through multi-route work. Experience
Previous delivery or driving experience is advantageous but not essential.

About you
Reliable and motivated self-starter with the ability to manage your own schedule. Comfortable working early morning shifts and handling physical tasks such as loading and unloading newspapers and magazines. Flexible and able to work 7 days a week.

Qualifications
Valid UK or European Driving Licence is required. Access to a van with a carrying capacity between 1050kg and 1200kg is essential. If you do not have a van, we can assist in pointing you in the right direction to obtain one.
