About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our ProServe Shared Delivery Team (SDT) at AWS. In this role, you will manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects focused on application migration, modernization, and management.
You will leverage your IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams. Responsibilities include building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants to architect and implement innovative solutions, engaging routinely with Directors, C-level executives, and governing boards, and driving opportunity capture and engagement delivery.
You will collaborate closely with partner teams, drive business development initiatives through thought leadership, provide portfolio guidance and oversight, and meet or exceed customer satisfaction targets. Your focus will be on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Success in this role is measured by consistently delivering customer engagements on time, within budget, and exceeding expectations, while optimizing team performance and utilization. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes with the AWS Cloud through a variety of focused offerings and specialty practices.
Experience
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud computing transition challenges
- Experience in IT consulting or management with IT transformation in a customer-facing role
- Experience in program or engagement management, leading multiple concurrent projects
- Experience in enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
About you
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, develop, and retain top talent
- Ability to engage with enterprise customers and senior executives to develop cloud strategies and present proposals
- Skilled in collaborating with partner ecosystems including Systems Integrators (SIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and Managed Services Providers (MSPs)
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business value and build trusted relationships
- Customer-focused with a track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget
Qualifications
- Preferred knowledge of enterprise IT management frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL
- Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
- Experience with customer relationship management, especially at the C-suite level
- Experience designing modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
