About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the further development of our Dementia Care services as we look to support those living with dementia in our homes. At Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG), we are committed to continuously enhancing the lifestyle of our residents while ensuring our teams are supported to deliver truly person-centred care.

This varied role involves working directly with residents to meet both their physical and emotional needs, building relationships and finding commonalities to enhance their experience. You will work alongside colleagues to role model best practice, providing information, advice, and guidance where required.

You will report directly to your Home Manager and be supported by the MMCG Dementia Development Lead, as well as a wider network of Dementia Ambassadors across the organisation.

Heritage Care Centre
Heritage Care Centre is a modern, two-storey home purpose-built for residential and nursing care of elderly residents. All rooms are ensuite and decorated to high standards with fresh, modern décor and WiFi throughout. The home is praised for its friendly and comfortable atmosphere. An activity coordinator organises a variety of accessible events daily, ranging from one-to-one care to trips out. There is also a bar and café on the premises, widely used by residents and their families.

Experience
Experience supporting people living with dementia is essential. You should understand the changes dementia can have on a person’s abilities and needs, and know how to find strategies to best support them and assist the team in adapting care plans accordingly.

About you
You will have strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills and feel confident supporting the team, delivering training workshops, and demonstrating how to apply new knowledge and skills in practice.

Qualifications
A Level 3 vocational qualification in Health and Social Care is preferred.
