Location
Croydon Crown Court, London Borough of Croydon. Occasional travel to other London Crown Courts may be required for cover when needed.
Hours
Full Time - 37 hours per week. HM Courts and Tribunals Service welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment.
Salary
£33,551 per annum
About the Role
As a Deputy List Officer, you will play a critical role in helping deliver justice by supporting the scheduling and listing of hearings in liaison with the Resident Judge, judiciary, Listing Officer and Case Progression Officer. You will ensure the efficient use of courtrooms and court staff through effective listing and control of court business and assist in delivering performance against targets. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills while ensuring your team provides excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary, and management. You will also make practical use of Lean TIBs, SOPs, and other continuous improvement tools. The post holder will be allocated to a specific office base but may need to work flexibly at other local HMCTS sites or courts subject to business needs.

Experience
Experience of working in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment is essential. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft software packages, are required. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also necessary.
