About the Role
Join ProCook as a Deputy Store Manager and become a key part of the management team in our Wembley store. This leadership role supports the Store Manager in building a high-performing team from day one, shaping a strong store culture, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving strong commercial results. You will be a visible leader on the shop floor, coaching and supporting the team daily, stepping up to lead in the Store Manager’s absence, and helping ensure smooth operations across sales, stock, service, and standards. Working closely with the Store Manager and Regional Manager, you will help deliver the strategy, hit performance targets, and keep the store running at its best.
Key responsibilities include supporting the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and inspiring the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences; driving sales and performance through strong commercial awareness and KPI focus; taking ownership of daily floor leadership and operational excellence; overseeing stock, merchandising, compliance, and store standards; supporting team development, engagement, and wellbeing through coaching and 1-to-1s; using performance data to improve results and decision-making; and stepping up to lead the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
As part of your onboarding, you will complete mandatory training including two days at our Store Support Centre in Gloucester and 4 to 8 weeks at one of our training stores. The timing and order of this training may vary.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or deputy management role (essential). Experience in retail or hospitality is mandatory.

You have high energy, a hands-on leadership style, and a genuine passion for great customer service and retail leadership. You are confident supporting and developing teams, driving performance, and creating a great store environment for both customers and colleagues. Strong leadership and people support skills, commercial awareness, and confidence using sales data are essential. Excellent communication, organisation, problem-solving skills, and strong operational understanding with attention to detail are required.
