We are seeking a proactive and passionate Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team supporting six gentlemen across two supported living services in Beckton and Forest Gate. This role combines direct care responsibilities with service coordination and leadership duties.
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Team Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support in a safe and positive environment. Your responsibilities will include providing leadership and guidance to staff, overseeing support planning, rota management, and staff supervision, as well as undertaking administrative and sleep-in duties.
You will play a key role in empowering the people we support to live independent and fulfilling lives, ensuring our services reflect Outward’s core values of engage, enable, and empower.
Experience
- Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management in a care/support setting
- Knowledge of health and safety issues within supported housing or care environments
- Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and data protection principles

- Ability to provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to support staff
- Commitment to promoting dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion

- Access to a smartphone capable of receiving SMS messages and installing authentication apps for secure systems access
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
- Additional training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), safeguarding, or housing-related legislation is advantageous
