About the Role
Secure Innovation, part of CGI's Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit, is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing team focused on delivering innovative technical solutions to complex government challenges. You will design, build, implement, and support secure and scalable DevOps solutions across complex cloud and hybrid environments. This role involves developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting containerised and orchestrated environments using Docker and Kubernetes, and collaborating with software engineering, infrastructure, security, and client teams to improve platform reliability and automation.

You will lead and mentor DevOps engineers, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation tooling, and configuration management solutions, and support secure cloud adoption across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Candidates must hold current HLC security clearance and be willing to work onsite full time. Previous experience in secure, government, defence, or highly regulated environments is highly regarded.

Experience
- Minimum of 7 years' commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related disciplines
- Proven experience leading DevOps teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Bamboo, GitLab CI/CD, or cloud-native equivalents
- Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience scripting and automating solutions using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Experience producing technical designs, architecture documentation, and operational documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex technical challenges
