About the Role
Design products that matter and build long-term partnerships without the agency chaos. At Friendly, we are creating a different kind of product design studio, partnering with ambitious SaaS startups to help design, validate and scale digital products. Rather than jumping from project to project, we embed ourselves alongside founders and product teams, becoming trusted design partners throughout their journey.

As a Product Designer, you will enjoy solving meaningful product problems, working directly with founders, and shaping products from strategy through to polished implementation. This role goes beyond simply completing tickets—you will help define problems, influence product direction, challenge assumptions, and create experiences that have measurable impact on users and businesses.

You will partner directly with founders, product managers and engineering teams to uncover user problems and define product direction. You will facilitate discovery sessions, workshops and research to understand customer needs and business goals. Your work will include translating complex challenges into simple, intuitive user experiences, creating wireframes, user flows and rapid prototypes to validate ideas early, designing polished, accessible interfaces and scalable design systems in Figma, and working closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation and exceptional user experience.

You will balance multiple client engagements while maintaining a consistently high standard of work, mentor and collaborate with other designers through design critiques and knowledge sharing, and contribute to improving internal processes, design standards and product thinking.

Experience
Significant experience designing complex B2B SaaS products across web and mobile platforms. Proven ability to connect user needs with commercial outcomes through strong product thinking. Confident working directly with clients and leading design conversations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Exceptional visual and interaction design skills with a meticulous eye for detail and a high bar for quality. Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative remote environment. Motivated by ownership, close client relationships, and designing products you are genuinely proud of.

Qualifications
Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, design systems and prototyping. Experience facilitating discovery sessions, workshops and research. A passion for continuous learning and contributing to team knowledge sharing.
