About the Role
Nomura is a global financial services group connecting markets East and West, servicing individuals, institutions, corporates, and governments through its four business divisions. The Distribution Compliance Contractor will be based within Nomura Asset Management’s UK office, the largest overseas office headquartered in Tokyo.

The role involves reviewing marketing materials and client communications to ensure compliance with FCA requirements and applicable local regulatory standards across UK, EU, Africa, and Middle East markets. You will provide regulatory guidance and support to Distribution colleagues and compliance teams across group affiliates on marketing materials requirements and cross-border distribution arrangements. Maintaining accurate records of reviews and approvals and supporting process improvements to enhance review efficiency are key responsibilities.

This position requires working closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely responses that meet business demands while upholding regulatory standards.

Experience
Experience in a compliance role within financial services, ideally within asset management or investment management. Strong working knowledge of FCA Conduct of Business rules, particularly relating to financial promotions and client communications. Proven experience reviewing marketing materials, presentations, and client communications for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Formal qualifications are not specified but relevant compliance or financial services certifications would be advantageous.
