About the Role
The Document Controller will manage information across large residential development schemes, establishing and maintaining robust document control systems to ensure compliance with project standards. This role supports efficient communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), ensuring information is up-to-date and accessible to the right personnel throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves system setup, user support, quality control of shared information, and leading contractors in accessing and using project documentation. You will liaise with external consultants and subcontractors, providing training, resolving queries, and acting as the main point of contact for build information. Additional duties include ad-hoc reporting and administration using EDMs, Excel, and other software solutions.

Experience
Proven experience in document control within construction, ideally on large-scale residential and high-rise development projects. Strong knowledge of document control platforms such as Doc Hosting Viewpoint, Aconex, and Asite, with Aconex experience beneficial. Familiarity with BIM workflows, digital construction documentation, and ISO standards related to document management. Experience using Field View is advantageous. Ability to manage documentation across multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
About You
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Able to maintain relationships and communicate document control terminology clearly with internal teams and external contacts. Proactive in quality checking uploads, following up on IFCs and RFIs, and supporting users. Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
