About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Drylining Taper & Jointer to join a construction team working on projects in Walthamstow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing taping, jointing and finishing works to a high standard, ensuring plasterboard and drylining systems are properly prepared and finished, ready for decoration.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced operative who takes pride in their workmanship, can work efficiently and safely, and is comfortable working as part of a wider construction team.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out taping and jointing of plasterboard and drylining systems
Prepare joints and surfaces ready for decoration
Apply jointing compounds and finishing materials
Install and finish corner beads and other associated components
Ensure joints are smooth, even and free from defects
Sand and prepare completed surfaces where required
Carry out remedial and snagging works
Read and follow drawings, specifications and instructions
Work alongside dryliners, carpenters and other construction trades
Maintain a clean and organised working area
Complete work to agreed programmes and quality standards
Follow all site rules, RAMS, PPE requirements and health and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Drylining Taper & Jointer
Strong practical knowledge of taping and jointing techniques
Ability to achieve a high-quality finish
Experience working with plasterboard and drylining systems
Good attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work
Reliable and punctual
Valid CSCS card
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
NVQ or other relevant drylining/plastering qualification
Previous experience working on residential refurbishment or new-build projects
Experience working alongside other trades
Additional construction site qualifications
