About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Drylining Taper & Jointer to join a construction team working on projects in Walthamstow.

You will be responsible for completing taping, jointing and finishing works to a high standard, ensuring plasterboard and drylining systems are properly prepared and finished ready for decoration.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced operative who takes pride in their workmanship, can work efficiently and safely, and is comfortable working as part of a wider construction team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out taping and jointing of plasterboard and drylining systems
- Preparing joints and surfaces ready for decoration
- Applying jointing compounds and finishing materials
- Installing and finishing corner beads and other associated components
- Ensuring joints are smooth, even and free from defects
- Sanding and preparing completed surfaces where required
- Carrying out remedial and snagging works
- Reading and following drawings, specifications and instructions
- Working alongside dryliners, carpenters and other construction trades
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
- Completing work to agreed programmes and quality standards
- Following site rules, RAMS, PPE requirements and Health & Safety procedures

Experience

- Proven experience as a Drylining Taper & Jointer
- Strong practical knowledge of taping and jointing techniques
- Experience working with plasterboard and drylining systems
- Ability to achieve a high-quality finish
- Experience working alongside other construction trades is desirable
- Previous experience on residential refurbishment or new-build projects is desirable

Qualifications

- Measuring and levelling equipment
- Appropriate PPE
