About the School - Oakfields Oakfields Preparatory School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 2.5-11 years, situated at Harwood Hall, in Upminster, and surrounded by seven acres of beautiful parkland. The school now has an exciting opportunity for a Maternity Cover Class Teacher to join our fantastic team working from Monday 4th November to Friday 11th July. This role is suitable for an ECT. About the role You will ensure the effective teaching of a Year 1, helping them to develop academically and creatively both inside and outside of the classroom. Support the policies and aims of the school and ensure the good social, emotional and physical development of every child. You will have the knowledge and expectations of the National Curriculum KS1, KS2 and beyond, and the ability to evaluate and extend learning to suit the aspirations of the school and students. You will be expected to plan, prepare and review lessons, evaluating, showing continuity and progress and using assessment materials for pupils. To view the full Job Description, Click Here Who we are looking for: To be considered for this role you will a degree in education of a PGCE. You will have recent teaching experience in a school and knowledge of relevant Key Stages and National Curriculum requirements. We would also expect: •Theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies) •An understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities •Understands and values the processes of planning as an aid to raising standards & attainment How to Apply Complete this application before the closing date.
