We have an exciting opportunity for two vibrant and motivated Early Years Workers/Special Educational Needs Coordinators to join our Family Wellbeing Centre family support team, providing high quality play and services to young children and their families referred to the service, both within the centre and out in the community. About the Service Our Family Wellbeing Centres provide high quality multi-agency services that are flexible and support the needs of young children and their families. Our services are available to all children up age 0-19, along with their parents/carers who live in the local community. The centres wider goals are to have a positive and lasting impact on each and every family that attends and help to improve their outcomes in life. As an Early Years worker will work in collaboration with the wider Family Wellbeing Centre team and partners, adopting a whole family approach. Location of the post We are located in Brent however you will be required to travel throughout the locality to meet the needs of the service. Working hours Monday to Friday (37 hours a week) Essential Requirements Must be educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Experience with Children, Young People and Families Able to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding. Some of the Key Responsibilities include: Delivery of a range of sessions for targeted intervention Ensuring the creation of safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments Understand the stages of young children's learning and development and issues that individual children may face that can make this challenging for them. Plan and evaluate targeted intervention sessions. Supporting children with SEND according to their individual needs. Support the implementation of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Code of Practice. To complete/support with completing Early Help Assessment (EHA) where necessary.
