About the Role
The ECS Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Co-ordinator & Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of MDT meetings and case conferences. You will be responsible for distributing patient information in line with agreed processes, noting and tracking progress of agreed actions, and supporting the implementation of the MDT approach across GP practices in Enfield. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Practice Managers, GPs, and MDT members is key to supporting the rollout and optimising member involvement. Duties include chairing conferences when required, maintaining accurate records, typing and data entry using Trust-specific systems such as RiO, and taking formal minutes. You will attend MDT teleconferences (in person or virtually), liaise with GP practices to ensure timely receipt and distribution of patient data, and maintain up-to-date contact lists for all MDT members. You will also assist with the introduction and updates to pro-forma to ensure all patients are discussed and outcomes recorded appropriately. Ensuring patient diagnoses, investigations, management, and treatment plans are accurately documented is essential. You will help define roles and responsibilities within the MDT, organise confidential meeting spaces or telephone access, and collate patient activity data for monitoring and quality assurance. Tracking actions via Excel and following up with responsible parties will be part of your routine. Additionally, you will support the rollout of risk stratification tools, provide information to finance for care plan verification and payments, assist in report production, organise additional MDT meetings, and escalate issues as necessary. Maintaining compliance with Information Governance requirements and contributing to service quality are key responsibilities. You will also manage communication hardware and software agreed with MDT leads, ensure prompt telephone responses during office hours, and type and distribute clinical and general correspondence per Trust standards. This role may evolve with additional duties as required.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience in administrative roles within healthcare or multidisciplinary teams is desirable. Proficiency in typing, data entry, and use of general office and Trust-specific computer programs (e.g., RiO) is essential. Experience in minute-taking and managing complex scheduling is advantageous.

About you
You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills are required to liaise effectively with MDT members, GP practices, patients, and external organisations. You must be proactive in following up actions and maintaining accurate records. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with Information Governance standards, is essential.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated; however, a background in healthcare administration or relevant training is beneficial. Competency in Microsoft Office applications and data management tools is required. A positive attitude towards learning and adapting to new systems and processes is important.
