About the Role

With a new-look service taking shape, we are recruiting 12 EHC Coordinators across our assessments team, 0 – Year 8 team, and Preparing for Adulthood team.

Experience
Experience working within the SEN system is essential. This may come from a Local Authority, school, college, Early Years, Health Service, or third sector background. A good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and awareness of upcoming changes in the SEN system is required.
About you
You are passionate about improving outcomes and opportunities for children and young people with SEN. You communicate effectively and empathetically, able to share both positive and difficult messages with confidence and kindness. You are well organised, able to balance competing priorities, and understand the importance of accurate record keeping. You recognise that SEN support involves collaboration across schools, councils, health services, and other partners.
For those applying to the Preparing for Adulthood team, an understanding of post-16 and post-18 provision and placements is important.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or training related to SEN or education are desirable but not explicitly stated. A commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.
