About the Role
Nomura is a global financial services group connecting markets East and West, servicing individuals, institutions, corporates, and governments through its four business divisions: Wealth Management, Investment Management, Wholesale (Global Markets and Investment Banking), and Banking. The EMEA Cost Management Analytics (CMA) team, part of the EMEA Finance department, leads financial analysis and analytics to support the firm's success. This role offers the opportunity to enhance expertise, be a trusted partner, engage with senior management, and uphold high standards of compliance.

The EMEA Cost Controller will manage the production of monthly Global Investment Spend reports and related benefits, track management information (MI) and analytical schedules, and act as a business partner to the transformation office and other stakeholders. The role involves delivering insightful data analysis to understand cost drivers and budget variances, supporting annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, and handling various ad-hoc tasks such as responding to data queries, creating one-off MI, and maintaining governance packs.

The role also includes contributing ideas for new analyses, process improvements, and better use of technology, as well as leading reporting and analytics improvements for regional and global investments. Additionally, the role encompasses broader cost advisory responsibilities, including managing monthly MI production, overseeing financial management of regional technology and operations costs, and providing clear management reporting through complex financial data analysis.

Nomura values leadership behaviours such as exploring insights and vision, making strategic decisions, inspiring entrepreneurship, elevating organizational capability, and fostering inclusion and a strong risk culture.
