About the Role
This is an exciting temporary opportunity for an experienced financial professional to join Nomura's EMEA Cost Management Analytics (CMA) team on a 12-month maternity leave cover. The CMA team leads financial analysis and analytics, managing and controlling the EMEA cost base including personnel expenses. You will be responsible for preparation, analysis, and presentation of P&L cost analytics, supporting month-end close processes, reviewing accruals and prepayments, and providing insightful performance analysis and management reporting. The role involves business partnering with various stakeholders including the regional CFO and Deputy CFO, performing scenario-based modelling, and supporting year-end budgeting and rolling monthly forecasting. You will also proactively seek opportunities to automate processes and drive improvements. Reporting to the regional head of cost control for EMEA, you will work closely with global CMA colleagues and project teams to deliver workstream objectives. This role is based in London with a minimum of two days in the office per week.

Requirements

Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Cost Analytics. Proven ability to interrogate data and present insights effectively. Experience working in a dynamic financial services environment is desirable.

Qualifications
Qualified accountant designation (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is essential. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase is desirable. Ability and willingness to learn in-house reporting tools is essential.
