Each team is grouped by sector expertise and aims to provide actionable ideas and thematic insights that empower our institutional clients to make well-informed and strategic investment decisions. We bring clarity to complex situations through extensive sector knowledge and a deep understanding of global markets. As an Equity Research Analyst or Associate within the top ranked Telecoms Equity Research Team, you will cultivate a deep understanding of equities, markets, and companies, with a special emphasis on the Telecoms sector. Your role involves collaborating closely with senior analysts to create insightful reports on companies, sectors, and thematic trends. You will also be responsible for conveying our team's insights on stocks and sectors to institutional clients. Beyond your immediate team duties, you will be part of a community of intelligent, inquisitive, and collaborative team members who are given substantial responsibility and exposure early in their careers. We provide extensive training and professional development across the department to support career progression.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with senior colleagues to provide thought-leadership to institutional clients regarding the Telecom sector, with potential for stock coverage based on readiness
- Maintain and update valuation models
- Build and maintain industry databases
- Prepare materials for regular publication of research reports, including data analysis and presentation
- Contribute to writing research reports, including quarterly results alerts, stock reports, and thematic pieces
- Communicate with institutional investors, company representatives, and internal clients (Sales, Sales-Traders, Traders)
- Stay abreast of company and industry developments
Experience
- Strong interest in Telecoms or technology more generally, with a willingness to specialize in this area
- Experience across TMT, Accounting, or Consulting preferred

- This role involves UK regulated activity; the successful candidate must meet UK regulatory requirements for fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence, and where appropriate, be approved by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority
