About the Role
Bring clarity to complex hedging activity and help leaders make confident decisions. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of markets, finance, and controls—turning derivatives activity into accurate, timely reporting. You will gain exposure to a range of products including interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, FX derivatives, and various fixed income products. This role provides significant exposure to senior management and Line of Business (LOB) finance personnel.

As an EMEA Finance Controller Associate within the Treasury and Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) Controllers team, you will be responsible for oversight, financial reporting, and analysis of CIO's hedging activity. You will ensure the proper implementation of Derivative Accounting and reporting policies as well as the preparation of related reports and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly close deliverables and applicable regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Perform key reconciliations, substantiation, and control checks for hedging activity, maintaining high-quality documentation and evidence.
- Support internal and external audit requests by producing analyses and providing clear supporting documentation.
- Analyze firmwide foreign exchange exposures including forecasted revenues and expenses, and non-USD investments in subsidiaries.
- Draft materials and instructions for portfolio managers to execute hedges in line with established frameworks.
- Produce recurring analysis explaining hedge profit and loss drivers, including variance analysis and management commentary.
- Apply derivative and hedge accounting policies consistently in daily and period-end reporting, raising exceptions promptly.
- Build and maintain recurring management information packs and analytics, improving clarity and consistency of storytelling.
- Identify control and process enhancement opportunities and implement improvements that streamline recurring deliverables.
- Partner with Technology to deliver reporting requirements, resolve data issues, and support new hedging programs and reporting frameworks.
- Contribute to measurable efficiency gains through automation and JPMorganChase-approved artificial intelligence use cases, with strong governance and auditability.

Requirements

Experience

- Working understanding or strong interest in building understanding of IRS, FX swaps, forwards, cross-currency swaps, fixed income instruments, and long-term debt.
- Solid grounding in financial accounting, financial statements, and risk concepts.
- Experience applying derivative accounting and hedge accounting in a reporting environment is preferred.
- Experience using Alteryx or similar analytics and workflow tooling is preferred.
- Experience building repeatable management information packs and improving narrative commentary quality.
- Experience partnering with Technology teams to implement reporting changes and improve data quality.
- Demonstrated track record of driving automation and control improvements in a well-governed environment.

About You
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to partner effectively across functions and prepare management-ready materials.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.
- Ability to learn reporting and risk systems quickly.

Qualifications
- A recognized professional accounting or investment qualification (or progress toward one) is preferred.
- No mandatory qualifications required but a strong interest in financial markets and accounting principles is essential.
