About the Role
Local London is establishing a new sub regional Sector Hub to support a more employer-led, coordinated approach to skills and employment across London. Aligned to the Mayor’s Inclusive Talent Strategy and the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), the Hub will bring together boroughs, providers and employers to improve how the system responds to workforce demand and connects residents to opportunities. We are recruiting Employer Engagement Officers to support delivery of this work across priority sectors.

As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will work directly with employers and partners to support delivery of the Sector Hub. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining relationships with employers across priority sectors, understanding workforce needs, skills gaps and recruitment challenges, supporting coordination of employer engagement across boroughs and partners, contributing to alignment of provision and pathways to employer demand, supporting delivery of sector-based pathways into employment, recording activity, maintaining data and supporting reporting requirements, and supporting day-to-day delivery of Sector Hub activity.

Experience
Experience in an employer-facing or partnership role is essential. Understanding of employment, skills or training provision is required.

You are organised, proactive and confident working with employers and partners. You possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to organise workload and support delivery, and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.
