About the Role

We’re currently recruiting for an Employment Adviser to join our amazing team. You will provide advice and support to guide and encourage participants to overcome barriers to employment and achieve realistic job goals. You'll manage a caseload of participants, guiding their journey to employment, acting as their coach and mentor, and building strong positive relationships to help customers obtain sustainable employment. Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be target driven, and possess a high level of initiative and motivation. You should be able to seek out solutions to problems and work under pressure without day-to-day supervision. We’re looking for someone who can provide first-class customer service, driven by our overarching aim to empower lives and improve communities. This role is part of our Restart Scheme, which supports unemployed people back to work.

Requirements

Experience
Essential: A good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations, basic knowledge of self-employment, fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes, experience of working in a target-driven environment, and experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards. Desirable: Knowledge of the employability industry, knowledge of the recruitment industry, experience of working with people in the provision of ‘information, advice & guidance’, and a full driving licence.

About you
You should be an excellent people person with very competent communication skills, able to organise and conduct job-search activities, and identify any potential barriers to employment. You will ensure all paper-based employability tools such as covering letters, CVs, and speculative letters are in place.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but relevant experience in the employability or recruitment industry is advantageous.
