Employment Specialist
Location
Remote working with occasional travel to Southwark, South East London.
Hours
37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Salary
£33,000 per annum
About the Role
We are recruiting an Employment Specialist to join our dedicated Connect to Work team, supporting individuals with disabilities and/or health conditions into sustainable paid employment. You will play a vital role in helping participants achieve their employment goals by identifying suitable job opportunities and providing tailored guidance to secure long-term, meaningful employment.
Using a person-centred approach, you will offer bespoke advice and support to each client while developing strong relationships with referral partners and local employers. Your ability to engage with stakeholders and understand individual needs will be key to enabling successful employment outcomes.
This specialist programme focuses on individuals with health-related support needs, particularly those with learning disabilities. You will progressively manage a caseload, undertake in-depth assessments, co-produce personalised action plans, and work collaboratively with multiple agencies to address barriers to employment. You will also provide in-work support plans and promote safe working environments.

Experience
- Proven experience supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs, particularly those with learning disabilities.
- Good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations.
- Experience working in target-driven environments.
- Experience delivering services that meet contractual and quality standards.
- Fully IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Skype for Business.

Qualifications
- Desirable: Level 3 Award in Employability Services Sector or equivalent.
- Desirable: Knowledge of SEQF standards, employability and recruitment industry.
- Full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
