We are seeking an Engineering Manager – AI & Data to lead a small engineering team responsible for building the trusted data foundations that power our AI capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead and develop your team while remaining close to the technology. You will help shape architecture, guide technical decisions, and deliver scalable engineering solutions that support the next generation of ECA's products.

Working closely with Product, Data, and Architecture teams, you will transform complex data into intelligent products that solve real customer problems. If you are passionate about engineering leadership, excited by AI opportunities, and enjoy technical involvement, this role offers huge scope for impact and growth.

Experience
- Background in software engineering, platform engineering, or data engineering with experience in technical leadership or engineering management.
- Proficiency with AWS and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and modern data architectures.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or similar.
- Experience with Amazon S3.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
- Proven ability to build scalable engineering solutions using APIs and multiple data sources.
- Appreciation of data governance, quality, scalability, and operational resilience as foundations for great AI.

Nice to Have
- Experience with browser automation and web scraping tools such as Playwright or Puppeteer.
- Familiarity with RAG evaluation frameworks.
- Experience with private or self-hosted AI models.
- Working knowledge of both cloud-based and private AI environments.
