About the Role
Historic England is the public body that looks after England's historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them. We have a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Economist to join our team. This role combines environmental analysis with economic appraisal to support the development of a robust evidence base on the environmental and economic value of the historic environment. You will apply social and economic analytical techniques to environmental challenges such as climate change, biodiversity and natural capital, supporting policy development and decision-making. Working alongside senior analysts, you will contribute to research, evaluation and the development of innovative approaches including natural capital accounting and the Culture and Heritage Capital framework. We offer a wide benefits package including a competitive defined benefit pension scheme with 28.97% employer contributions, 28 days holiday, corporate discounts, free entry to English Heritage sites across the country, and development opportunities to help you achieve your goals.
