About the Role
The Equity Middle Office team at Nomura, part of Global Middle Office, supports the Cash Prime Brokerage business within the Prime Brokerage Middle Office division. This client-facing Associate role offers exposure to a broad range of business areas including Operations, Finance, Risk, and Front Office sales and trading. You will act as a primary point of contact for Hedge Fund clients, supporting the expansion of the Cash Prime Brokerage business and collaborating closely with project teams and trading desks. Key responsibilities include managing client transactional portfolios, resolving day-to-day queries, onboarding new clients, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with operational controls. The role requires flexibility to provide backup support across other Equity business segments such as Synthetic Prime Brokerage, Equity Solutions, Equity Finance & Delta-1, Equity Syndicate, and Convertible Bonds. You will also represent Middle Office in supervision forums and contribute to operational excellence and transformational change initiatives. This position offers a challenging and varied environment with opportunities to develop a deep understanding of Prime Brokerage operations and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience
- Subject matter expertise in Cash Prime Brokerage
- Strong understanding of operational risk with proactive risk management skills
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word is beneficial
- Experience in client servicing and managing complex transactional portfolios

Qualifications
- Relevant experience in Prime Brokerage or related financial services environment preferred
