About the Role
THE·TEAM operates at the epicenter of sports, music and entertainment, serving talent, brands and properties on a global scale. Our Motorsport team is seeking an experienced Event Director to lead the development and implementation of events, hospitality programmes, and brand experiences both at and away from the track. Reporting directly to the Head of Events - Motorsport, you will be responsible for curating and delivering first-class events across key Motorsport accounts, managing partnership events and hospitality aligned with client objectives, budgets, and KPIs.
Your role will include overseeing project budgets, supplier management, client reporting, and ensuring all event deliverables meet the highest standards. You will support and develop junior team members, contribute to new business proposals, and drive incremental business opportunities to meet wider Motorsport financial targets.
Key responsibilities include managing relationships with clients, rights holders, and suppliers; delivering best-in-class client events that reflect core client narratives; monitoring budgets and seeking cost-saving opportunities; and ensuring consistent delivery of best practices across all events and hospitality programmes. You will also manage team members, promote conflict resolution, and maintain clear communication with senior stakeholders.
Additional duties include maintaining Motorsport event documents and planning materials, sharing industry insights, developing presentations and reports, and demonstrating professionalism in all communications.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong operational, logistical, and budget management skills, capable of working across multiple clients and tight deadlines while maintaining excellent client service standards.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years delivering first-class hospitality and event programmes for C-suite guests.
- Minimum 2 years Motorsport (F1) experience required.
- Agency experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with large global brands preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple team members across various work streams.
- Strong operations and logistics management skills, including planning shipments, transport, and global travel.
- Strong spreadsheet and budget management skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in preparing and delivering presentations internally and to clients/suppliers using Microsoft PowerPoint.
