About the Role
Salt Hospitality Studio is a new hospitality business, launched as a joint venture between Smart Group and Broadwick. Salt is the exclusive catering and hospitality partner across Broadwick's 12 London venues, including Magazine London, Troxy, Exhibition White City, Control Room A, OXO2, Banking Hall, Landing Forty Two, Drumsheds, Landing Canary Wharf, Broadwick Studio, 26 Leake Street and The Pelligon. Salt exists to do things differently: to move beyond the idea of "in-house catering" and build a hospitality brand in its own right, with its own team, kitchens, identity and standards, built around exceptional food, beverage and service.

As Event Planner, you will take ownership of the client journey once an event has been confirmed, transforming initial briefs into exceptional, high-performing events from handover through to delivery. Acting as the primary client contact, you will bring every brief to life with flair and precision, curating memorable experiences while driving strong commercial outcomes, building lasting relationships and maximising revenue through thoughtful, strategic upselling.

While Salt's Operations team leads delivery on the day, you remain the strategic lead for the client, guiding decisions, maintaining momentum, and ensuring every element aligns both creatively and commercially, from initial planning through to final delivery.

This is a genuine opportunity for someone who thrives on ownership and relationship-building to help shape Salt's Planning function as the brand’s portfolio and team continue to grow, delivering events that are as profitable as they are unforgettable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients through the planning journey, acting as their dedicated point of contact from confirmation through to delivery.
- Act as the onsite client point of contact, resolving issues calmly and ensuring delivery matches the agreed brief.
- Work closely with Sales, Kitchen, Operations and Kitchens to ensure every event brief is executed with precision and flair.
- Create and embed systems and procedures that drive efficiency, clarity and high performance across every stage of the planning cycle.
- Monitor planning KPIs and client feedback, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Support event design and styling, ensuring creative direction aligns with current trends and client aspirations.
- Assist the Head Event Planner in maintaining and evolving stock of styling and eventware, including audits and replenishment.
- Contribute to tastings, pitch presentations, photoshoots and social content supporting Salt's brand positioning.
- Partner with Sales to support proposals for high-value or creative catering briefs.
- Drive post-confirmation upselling by introducing clients to enhanced catering options, premium products and experiential add-ons.
- Promote and coordinate upselling of third-party services such as floristry, furniture hire and entertainment through Salt's trusted partner network.
- Ensure seamless handover between Sales and Planning, keeping clients fully informed and confident at every step.
