Executive Assistant to the Senior President of Tribunals, Private Offices, Judicial Office

This position is eligible for hybrid working with a current minimum requirement of 60% time spent at the base location, subject to business needs. The role involves working before and after court hours in line with judicial diaries, including some early mornings and late evenings. This role is not suitable for reduced hours working.
Salary
£33,551 per annum
About the Role
The Judicial Office supports the Lady Chief Justice and the wider judiciary in upholding the rule of law and delivering justice impartially, speedily, and efficiently. The Senior President of Tribunals (SPT) leads the tribunals judiciary across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, supported by the Deputy Senior President of Tribunals (DSPT). The SPT’s Private Office plays a central role in supporting their statutory responsibilities and leadership functions across the tribunals system.
The Executive Assistant (EA) will manage the busy diaries of the SPT and DSPT, coordinate their meetings, and ensure effective time management. The role includes managing the Private Office shared mailbox, triaging correspondence, providing secretariat support, arranging visits and travel, and supporting the smooth running of the Private Office. This frontline role requires excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to balance competing priorities while working closely with senior judiciary members and multiple justice system partners.
The role may require occasional long hours and travel to accompany the SPT and DSPT to events and court visits. The working environment is dynamic, with changing priorities and responsibilities.
Experience

- Desirable: Experience supporting senior leaders in an executive assistant or private office environment

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required; however, relevant experience in executive support or judicial environments is advantageous.
