About the Role
You will be joining our Children’s Centre teams, playing a vital role in supporting families with children primarily aged 0-5. As a Family Engagement Worker, you will assess family need and develop a family plan to improve outcomes through outreach, home visits, and delivery of evidence-based programmes. The focus will be on the home learning environment, parent-infant relationships, perinatal mental health, and parenting capacity. You may also support the delivery of universal group sessions depending on capacity within the children’s centre. This is a new and developing role where you will contribute to the development of practice guidance and recording. There are 5 full-time positions across 5 different children’s centres, starting in October or as soon as possible.
Experience
Experience working with children aged 0-5, including those with emerging or additional needs, is essential. Experience in delivering family support and interventions in community settings is desirable.

You have a good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage. You are motivated to work closely with parents as partners and collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a positive learning environment. You are reflective in your practice and interested in your professional development. You demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and understand its importance. Excellent written and spoken English skills and the ability to use ICT are required. You are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
Qualifications
You hold a Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Childcare, Health & Social Care or a related field, or have significant relevant experience.
