Curiosity in the news agenda, alongside a network of key contacts, sources and experts, will be essential to ensure that you have a constant supply of ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Providing all types of high-quality content - from quick turnaround reported features and ghost-written articles to on the ground news colour pieces, richly-researched long reads, investigations and big interviews. Highly engaged with the news agenda and confident in pitching feature angles on breaking news stories and wider trends, as well as zeitgeisty ideas that break new ground. Able to deliver clean copy to tight deadlines. Constantly seeking out original ideas for features content. Building a strong network of contacts to secure exclusives, ensuring that the Telegraph is ahead of the competition. Liaising with teams such as visual journalism and video to explore innovative ways to tell stories.
