About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Finance Function within the Corporate group at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The Finance Division plays a central role in enabling MHRA to protect and improve public health by ensuring public money is spent wisely and decisions are grounded in robust financial insight. The Strategic Finance team supports organisational decision-making by providing high-quality financial insight, planning and reporting, with a focus on grant-funded projects and financial sustainability.
This role involves producing accurate and timely financial reports for grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with internal processes and external funder requirements. You will support month-end processes, provide financial information and analysis to project managers and budget holders, and maintain project financial data within Oracle Fusion or equivalent systems. This is a strong development opportunity within a complex and high-profile public sector environment, working closely with stakeholders across finance and project teams.
Experience
- Experience of financial reporting, budget monitoring or project finance activities.
- Experience supporting project costing, budget monitoring or financial reporting activities, with an understanding of how financial information supports project delivery.
- Experience working with stakeholders to provide financial information or resolve queries, building effective working relationships across teams.
- Experience contributing to project financial management or project accounting activities, with an understanding of grants and contracts funding arrangements is desirable.
- Experience using finance systems such as Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems to process or support project finance activities.

Qualifications
- Working towards or holding a professional accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent.
- Relevant financial experience supporting project finance activities.
