About the Role
Perlego is on a mission to make education accessible to everyone by providing unlimited access to a catalogue of 1.5 million ebooks from over 9,000 leading publishers. Partnering with 300+ universities, companies, and training providers, we aim to put a library in every learner’s pocket. Following 40% B2B growth last year, we are seeking a Finance and Analytics Manager to elevate our finance function globally.

This is a cross-functional role split approximately 60% Finance and 40% RevOps and Data functions, ideal for someone who values breadth while maintaining strong technical accounting expertise. Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing a Management Accountant, you will focus on producing high-quality month-end reporting and leading projects to improve financial processes, support RevOps, and collaborate with the Data team.

You will review, challenge, and enhance existing processes while applying your analytical skills to the commercial side of the business. This role suits a confident self-starter who can own end-to-end responsibilities and uphold high standards across the team.

Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the month-end close process ensuring accuracy and timely management accounts with insightful variance commentary
- Maintaining ledger integrity in Xero, reviewing coding and resolving issues
- Managing technical accounting areas such as accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Overseeing accounts payable, payment processes, and royalty schedules
- Supporting regulatory and compliance obligations including VAT returns, corporation tax inputs, R&D claims, share-based payment accounting, and intercompany positions
- Assisting with year-end close and audit preparation
- Contributing to budgeting and reforecasting cycles with supporting models and schedules
- Developing KPI and metric reporting across B2B and DTC revenue streams
- Providing clear financial analysis and commentary for board and leadership reporting
- Partnering with RevOps to build dashboards tracking revenue performance and pipeline health
- Collaborating with the Data team to extract, clean, and analyze datasets, translating data into financial and commercial insights
- Supporting subscriber metrics, cohort analysis, and attribution modelling
- Leading initiatives to automate or improve finance and reporting processes including data pipelines between Stripe, HubSpot, and Xero
- Acting as a finance-literate partner to non-finance stakeholders for data-driven decision making

Requirements

Experience
- Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid hands-on experience in management accounting and month-end close
- Proven experience reviewing and improving financial processes
- Comfortable working with large datasets, BI tools, or SQL beyond pulling pre-built reports
- Experience managing direct reports and holding them accountable for quality outputs
- Strong analytical skills with a genuine appetite for data
- Highly proficient with Excel or Google Sheets and familiar with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms

About you
- A confident self-starter who operates autonomously and holds self and others to high standards
- Excellent communicator able to translate complex financial and data outputs into clear narratives for non-finance audiences
- Comfortable prioritising a mixed workload of close responsibilities and project work
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification (fully or part-qualified)

What success looks like
In 3 months:
- Clear ownership of month-end close with accurate, timely management accounts and minimal rework
- Solid understanding of Perlego’s financial operations, key business drivers, and Finance’s interaction with the wider business

- Identified at least one process or data flow opportunity with a plan to address it

In 6 months:
- Meaningful improvements to the close process resulting in less manual effort, better output quality, and tighter timelines
- Active contribution to financial models and forecasting, reducing workload for the Head of Finance
- Trusted cross-functional partner in RevOps and Data, proactively engaged
- Delivered at least one end-to-end project improving financial processes, reporting outputs, or commercial data flows
