About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our London Stratford Place office. In this role, you will provide professional finance and accounting support to business leaders under the direction of the Head of Financial Control & Analysis or Senior Finance Business Partner. You will deliver proactive, value-added financial insight, analysis, and advice to support decision-making, improve business performance, and drive operational efficiency. Building strong relationships across supported functions and routes, you will ensure financial risks and opportunities are identified, understood, and effectively managed while supporting the achievement of business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and providing financial advice to senior budget holders to understand period results and forecasts against budgets
- Acting as the accounting expert within the function, advising on financial results, forecasts, and preparing period accruals, transfers, and adjustments
- Managing corporate governance across cost centres, conducting deep dives and reviewing compliance with financial regulations
- Delivering accurate business review information and reporting, highlighting significant financial and business issues
- Engaging and influencing senior team members to improve financial understanding and business performance
- Building detailed bottom-up plans for business plans and budgets to ensure good governance and value-added analysis
- Identifying and managing commercial risks including financial suitability of new customers or suppliers
- Managing the performance of central accounting functions to deliver efficient accounting services
- Collating, investigating, and recommending investment appraisals and business case analyses
- Modelling and analysing cost base to identify and drive opportunities and efficiencies to meet targets

Requirements

Experience
- Strong understanding of business needs and relevant application of accounting standards
- Significant experience within relevant finance disciplines
- Expert knowledge and experience of creating and maintaining accounts and annual budgets
- Strong Excel skills and data manipulation
- Demonstrable effective influencing skills at a senior level
- Significant understanding of financial control and risk management
- Experience interpreting technical accounting regulations into everyday language

- Committed to delivering high standards of corporate governance and financial accuracy

Qualifications
- Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent experience
- Excellent technical finance and accounting knowledge
- It is desirable but not essential to have:
- Understanding of project management principles and experience managing complex projects
- Extensive experience of Oracle-based systems
- Degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, or business management
