About the Role
This is a key position within Channel 4's Commercial Finance (CF)/Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, specifically within the dedicated Revenue & Partnerships finance team led by the Senior Finance Manager (SFM) - Revenue & Partnerships. The team is responsible for the production, reporting, monitoring, amendments and comparative analysis of all Channel 4 Revenue & Partnership activities, including consolidated year-to-date performance and forward-looking projections such as forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
The Finance Manager will support the Senior Finance Manager and business stakeholders by leading and implementing transformative projects that diversify revenue opportunities and optimise reporting and budgeting processes to enhance business performance. This role involves spearheading ad hoc project delivery, driving process improvement initiatives, championing innovative solutions to commercial challenges, streamlining P&L and cash management processes, and embedding best practices to support the Revenue & Partnerships team's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include financial analysis and valuation of partnership opportunities, translating commercial assumptions into decision-ready analysis, leading headcount management and cost modelling, driving process improvements in cost reporting and planning, enhancing forecasting models, automating reporting tasks, and supporting the Finance Business Partner and senior finance leadership as required.
Experience
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA preferable) with at least 3 years of FP&A related experience
- Experience working directly with operational business executives and/or budget holders to construct strategic plans
- Demonstrable experience working on complex projects with appropriate governance
- Comfortable with detailed and complicated Excel models
- Proven ability to challenge and influence business stakeholders effectively
