About the Role
As a Finance Modeller at Babcock, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of fire training finance by designing and delivering a robust financial model for a major Fire Training contract with 12 years remaining. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety and operational excellence while advancing your career in defence, aerospace, and engineering.

You will collaborate closely with Future Business, Operational Finance, Commercial, and Senior Management teams to rebuild and maintain a financial model that underpins one of Babcock’s longest-standing contracts. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions and support the long-term success of this vital public service.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing a comprehensive financial model for the LFB contract, liaising with finance and operational teams to ensure accuracy and compliance, incorporating technical accounting advice and audit methodology, creating intuitive model navigation and clearly defined data flows, and ensuring the model supports strategic decision-making.

Experience
- Applying advanced Excel skills and financial modelling techniques

Qualifications
We value diverse backgrounds and do not require specific formal qualifications. However, experience in financial modelling within large-scale contracts is highly advantageous. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
