About the Role
The Finance team at UKTV is responsible for all aspects of UKTV's and BBC Studios UK Region's finances, including management accounting, financial reporting, transactional processing, business partnering, financial planning and analysis. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is central to strategic and commercial decision-making, providing insight, challenge and analysis that supports business performance, investment decisions and future growth across UKTV and the wider BBC Studios business.
As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in UKTV's planning and forecasting processes, supporting the development of budgets, forecasts and long-range plans while delivering insightful financial analysis to support business performance. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Strategy and the wider BBC Studios Group, translating complex financial information into actionable insight.
This role also offers exposure to international operations through consolidation and reporting of financial planning activities across Global Channels & Streaming, including EMEA and APAC markets.
Key responsibilities include supporting the Senior FP&A Lead and business stakeholders in delivering annual budgets, long-range plans and quarterly forecasts; partnering with Management Accounting to reconcile actual performance; acting as the primary UKTV contact for the BPC planning system; contributing to business cases and investment appraisals; developing tools and models to improve analytical capabilities; preparing financial reporting and presentations for UKTV and BBC Studios leadership; consolidating financial information across regions; and identifying opportunities to improve financial planning processes and automation.

Experience
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting or a similar analytical finance role.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Experience building and maintaining financial models.
- Experience analysing business performance and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Experience working with financial planning and reporting systems; SAP and BPC experience is desirable.
