PIMCO Product Strategists are investment professionals specializing in a strategy area or market sector, recognized internally and externally as experts. They lead new business development efforts, focus on long-term strategic positioning, and capture near-term demand opportunities. Strategists position PIMCO for sustained growth and profitability, diversifying the business by product, investor type, and region. They lead all strategic aspects of their area, akin to managing a focused global business unit.
The Multi Sector Fixed Income (MSFI) PSG team covers global and regional fixed income strategies with diversified exposures, either benchmark-oriented or flexible. These products help investors meet needs such as capital preservation, income generation, and portfolio diversification. PIMCO is seeking a Fixed Income Product Strategist to join the MSFI and Flexible Strategies team in London. This role covers Income and flexible strategies and offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the growth of PIMCO’s strategies.
Key responsibilities include serving as the local expert on PIMCO’s fixed income strategies, developing strong partnerships with portfolio management teams to act as credible PM substitutes, representing PIMCO at client meetings and industry events, developing marketing and educational materials, working with investors and advisors to identify investment needs, identifying demand for new products, and partnering with client-facing professionals to service and grow the business globally.
Experience
7+ years of relevant work experience in asset management or the sell-side industry.

- Ability to conduct business-level discussions in at least one other European language (Italian, French, or German required).
- Robust understanding of macroeconomics and fixed income fundamentals.
- Aptitude for analyzing and communicating portfolio strategy and risk factors.
- Enthusiasm for financial markets and investment management.
- Understanding of various channels of demand and distribution for fixed income products.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for public speaking in formal and informal settings to diverse audiences.
- Entrepreneurial drive to build a business combined with strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications
A CFA, Masters, or MBA degree with emphasis in Finance and Economics or an equivalent advanced degree.
