About the Role
Are you passionate about transforming lives through education? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Foundation Learning Lecturer to join our Foundation Learning team. In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality teaching across Foundation Learning Study Programmes and Supported Employment provision, empowering learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and low skill levels to develop skills, confidence, and independence for successful progression into further education, employment, and adult life.

You will create engaging, inclusive learning experiences, monitor student progress through effective assessment and feedback, and develop individual learning, transition, and progression plans tailored to each learner's aspirations. Working closely with parents, carers, employers, and external agencies, you will support students in achieving their personal and employment goals.

As an active department member, you will contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement, student recruitment, and cross-college initiatives, while embracing digital learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning. You will also lead person-centred reviews, including Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews, and champion equality, inclusion, and safeguarding in all aspects of your work.

Join us and become part of a college committed to excellence, inclusion, and changing lives through education.

Experience coordinating and leading student reviews, including EHCP reviews, using a person-centred approach and working collaboratively with parents, carers, employers, and external agencies.

Familiarity with safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and promoting the wellbeing of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

About you
An inspiring educator with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Genuine commitment to helping every learner succeed, supporting personal, social, and employability development through interview preparation, workplace readiness, transition planning, and disability awareness training.

Ability to maintain accurate student records, attendance, assessments, and schemes of work, and to utilise digital platforms such as Google Classroom to track progress and support learning.

Willingness to actively participate in student recruitment, marketing activities, employer engagement, staff development, team meetings, and cross-college initiatives.
