About the Role
Mustard London / Melodrama create desk objects, homeware, and apparel that are funnier than they need to be, selling into independent and major retailers worldwide. Melodrama is a newer sub-brand with a distinct identity. We are seeking one experienced freelance graphic designer to work with us on an ongoing basis, collaborating directly with the founder.

The role involves developing product ranges around a theme from concept through to production artwork. Key tasks include typographic and surface pattern work such as slogans, prints, and repeats, packaging artwork and dielines, apparel graphics, and occasional site and social media assets.

This is not guideline policing, deck creation, or a path to a full-time role. It is a small, opinionated brand where your work will go into production and onto shelves quickly.

Experience
Minimum five years working across lifestyle, apparel, or product brands. Proven experience taking ranges from concept to production with a clear understanding of factory requirements. Strong skills in typography and pattern design are essential, as much of the product’s success depends on the words and their presentation.

About you
You have a dry sense of humour—nothing motivational or cute. You possess enough seniority to work unsupervised and deliver high-quality work consistently. You thrive in a fast-paced, small brand environment where your designs go directly into production.
