About the Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Minerva Defence, you will be responsible for taking feature requests from frontline users and designing, implementing, testing, and shipping them. You will take full ownership of this process across the entire stack, whether backend, frontend, embedded, machine learning, or networking. Minerva Defence is one of the fastest-growing defence technology companies in Europe, creating software, hardware, and networking solutions that make unmanned systems effective on the modern battlefield. Our products are ideated, designed, and manufactured end-to-end in the UK and are actively used by frontline operators daily.

We are a small, focused team of around 60 people, delivering outsized impact. We seek engineers who are not only talented but genuinely committed to the work, the team, and the purpose behind it. You will work directly on products used by large numbers of frontline operators, implementing features that improve their operational output based on direct user requests or your own ideas. You will take complete ownership of the features you develop, including implementation, field testing, and deployment.

We expect our full stack engineers to be comfortable across the full stack, including networking and lower-level work, and to be willing to learn new areas as needed to deliver reliable and robust solutions. Responsibilities include leading development of new features based on customer feedback or novel Minerva products, working across backend (largely Python), frontend, embedded, networking, or machine learning, and ensuring timely delivery of reliable feature updates that enhance operational effectiveness.

Experience
- Proven experience shipping production software at a high standard
- Solid grounding in backend and frontend development
- Strong understanding of DevOps
- Willingness to be involved in field testing of the features you own

Qualifications
