We aim to achieve our purpose by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nursing and midwifery professionals to innovate, progress their careers and get through tough time. As our Fundraising and Communications Assistant, you will provide comprehensive and effective administration support to the RCN Foundation fundraising and communications team. The postholder will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting the fundraising and communications team, helping to raise funds and awareness that enables and supports the work of the charity. The postholder will bring a positive and professional style to ensure a smooth and seamless administrative service across the RCN Foundation’s fundraising activities and events. The role will report to the RCN Foundation’s Head of Fundraising and Communication and will be responsible for providing the support needed to achieve all fundraising goals. It's a job full of possibilities as you could get involved in anything from researching potential funders, developing reports, and supporting the organisation, planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising and profile-raising events. We are at an exciting moment of transition and there is an opportunity to make a significant and positive impact on the charity and our beneficiaries – nurses, midwives and health care support workers. As the first point of contact for all fundraising and communications enquiries you will be expected to demonstrate an exceptional track record of administration and organisational skills. You will be a comfortable working as part of a small charity team in a busy environment and combining strong administration with hands-on delivery.
